Controls distance well with the jab. Uses good, slick footwork for defense - sliding in and out of range fluidly. Good hand speed and reflexes, usually keeps the lead hand low. Will use the hook to counter, sometime switches southpaw. Sharp puncher but not powerful. If he had power, he could become a star. Was dropped by Braithwaite with a right hand, left hook combination but won a comfortable decision. Beat Essomba comfortably with his feet. Won a competitive decision over Campos, fought with his back to the ropes a lot.
