Fights on the back foot with a spoiling style. Doesn't use a lot of lateral movement but has good feet. Likes to counter punch but doesn't throw much. Uses the jab occasionally, he favors a very slow pace. Can be hard to hit, but doesn't have a lot of offense. Nicked the decision over Kongo with counters in a low volume fight. Completely neutralized Runowski's offense and won every round.
